Actively Awesome ROXY STARR

Hello and thank you for visiting my Tumblr.
I like to think of myself as the cute quiet chick that likes random facts and to have a good time. I’m usually more of the silent observer, but I could surprise you.

My recipe for a good life is an understanding family, amazing friends, a few stiff drinks, great food and beautiful beach sunsets.

Fear often keeps us from being the best we can be.
Instead of letting fear hold you back, let it push you forward.

Iove this!  Why everyone should break the rules…

In these bodies we will live, in these bodies we will die. Where you invest your love, you invest your life.

Being unemployed and have gone through a series of jobs that I have made me less the happy. I have also come to the realization that my goal in life is not just to live life and go through the motions waiting for the next fun adventure so I have something to look forward.

My happiness journey has led me to do some fun exploring…

I took out an old sketch pad and though I’m not an artist had fun just doodling.

I spend time each day just reading different blogs, magazines and books.  I have a Self subscription and though I love the magazine, before I went months before opening the plastic that the magazine comes in.

Spend time dancing. This usually means playing Dance Central for an hour, but lately I have been picking up my hula hoop and taking it for twirl.

Today’s little exploring brought my upon two pieces that I found very intriguing as it seems everyone quests for a life of happiness.  It just depends where we look to find it.

Reminder to be truthful to your self, to be your best self.

For the past couple of years I have been really struggling with what I love doing and what I think a career is supposed to be.  Finally this past year I have come to the realization that I should be working in health and fitness.
I have always enjoyed being active, trying to eat healthy, and always interested in learning ways to improve the quality of life.  Never did I ever think that I could make a career out of something I thought to be a hobby.
My work situation took an interesting turn, but for me I see it as the most exciting twist that could have happen for me.   Suddenly I have the best opportunity to follow my true job calling.  The same evening I was laid off, a good friend of mine shared a blog post with me that I comforted me.   Thinking about what I really love or passionate about I knew that I will only be happy if I’m doing something related to health and fitness.
I said my good-byes, but this is only the beginning.
